The tropical rainforest is one of the most species-rich and exciting habitats on our planet. In the warm and humid climate, special plants thrive, such as the strangler fig or orchids. It also offers shelter to rare animal species, such as the tree ocelot or the large anteater. Together we will embark on an adventurous journey, during which we will not only explore the fantastic flora and fauna, but also examine how the indigenous peoples live there and what we can learn from them in dealing with our environment: Because the rainforests are in danger! Huge areas of this important ecosystem are disappearing every day due to deforestation and the extraction of mineral resources. We therefore take a look at where we encounter things from the rainforests everywhere in everyday life and what we can do to protect the "green lungs" of our earth.
